About the Event
I have been in contact with the head pro at the Gilroy Golf course, they are open and hopeful we will continue our annual tournament. The course has a set of guidelines due to COVID-19 that all golfers must follow.
Covid-golf guidelines & precautions:
- No touching any flag sticks
- No ball washers
- No rakes in the bunkers - you will hand remove your ball and take a free drop
- No entrance into the clubhouse - payments will be made though a window
- Troy’s famous breakfast and lunch is still available for pick-up though a window
- All carts will be sanitized upon arrival
Gilroy has a total of 40 carts. What does that mean for us?
The current guidelines state that only one person can ride in a cart. We are only allowed 40 golfers UNLESS we have any volunteer walkers, OR immediate family/individuals that have been quarantined together opt to ride in the same cart.
Single players are welcome, but when choosing your 4-somes I encourage you to try and play with an immediate family member or an individual that you have been quarantined with in an effort to make more carts available.
Unfortunately, no dinner this year - but let’s not let Ernie get off that easy! I vote next year he's on the hook for a joint dinner with this year’s low net winner. We will have very few prizes this year and I will do my best to get those out to people. My team and I are working to find a way to announce the awards to all of our golfers.
Unfortunately everyones favorite side game (the orange ball) will have to take a backseat for a year. Covid-golf doesn’t allow for everyone touching one ball.
Please RSVP by July 3rd.
Talk if over with your favorite golfers and send me an email with your confirmed 4-some or if you are a single that would like to participate. Reservations are on a first-come basis until we reach our participation cap. No need to pay in advance - fees will be made directly to the Gilroy Golf course when you show up for your tee time. Follow up with the price per golfer coming soon.
Looking forward to our first (and hopefully last) Coivd-golf tournament! Any questions feel free to email or call (408) 318-1727.
